Innovista is the annual technical festival organized by the Tech Geeks Club at GEHU Haldwani. It's a 3-day event featuring hackathons, coding competitions, esports tournaments, workshops, and tech talks, bringing together students from schools and colleges to celebrate innovation and technology.

Innovista is open to school students (grades 9-12) for specific school events like coding competitions and science exhibitions, and college students from any university for hackathons, tech challenges, and esports tournaments. Some events are team-based while others are individual competitions.

Registration for all events is done through our Google Forms. Each event has its own registration link available on the event details page. Some events have early bird registration deadlines, so register soon to secure your spot!

The 36-hour hackathon has a registration deadline of October 15, 2026 for the online screening round. Problem statements are released on October 15, and Round 1 PPT submissions are due by October 18, 2026. Top 30 teams advance to the on-campus hackathon!

Most events at Innovista are free to participate! The 36-hour hackathon has a team fee of ₹1,500 (to be paid only by the selected 30 teams for the final on-campus hackathon). Esports tournaments have a team fee of ₹400 for Free Fire and BGMI, and ₹200 for Clash Royale. Fest stalls are ₹500/day for GEHU students and ₹1,000/day for outsiders.

Innovista offers over ₹65,000 in total cash prize pools across competitions! The 36-hour hackathon offers ₹50,000 (1st: ₹25,000, 2nd: ₹15,000, 3rd: ₹5,000, Special Recognitions: 2x ₹2,500). The Science Exhibition awards ₹9,000 (1st: ₹5,000, 2nd: ₹3,000, 3rd: ₹1,000), and the Coding Competition awards ₹6,000 (1st: ₹3,000, 2nd: ₹2,000, 3rd: ₹1,000). In addition, the Tech Lucky Draw awards laptops, tablets, headphones, wireless earbuds, bluetooth speakers, and smart bands!

Yes, participants must bring their own laptops for all coding-related events including the hackathon, coding competitions, and tech treasure hunt. Ensure your laptop is fully charged and has necessary development tools installed. Limited charging points will be available.

Limited accommodation assistance may be available for outstation participants of the hackathon. Please mention your accommodation requirement during registration, and our team will contact you with available options. Most participants arrange their own local stays.

Absolutely! You're welcome to register for multiple events at Innovista. However, please check the event timings to ensure there are no clashes. The hackathon runs for 36 hours starting October 30, 6 PM, so you might not be able to participate in other events during that time.

Reach any of the student coordinators listed in the footer, or email the Tech Geeks Club. We answer registration, eligibility and on-campus logistics questions the same day during the run-up to the fest.
